How to Connect to Campus Wi-Fi

Need to get connected to the internet on campus? MCC provides fast, secure wireless access across campus for students, employees, and campus visitors. Follow our step-by-step instructions below to connect your phone, laptop, or mobile device to the MCC-STUDENTS&EMPLOYEES or MCC-GUEST Wi-Fi networks, or troubleshoot existing connection issues.

By connecting to any MCC wireless network, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to MCC's Acceptable Use of Technology Resources. We reserve the right to monitor network traffic and terminate access for any violations. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not connect.

Can MCC staff help me configure my computer?

No, but we can offer some helpful tips (see the “How do I connect to the MCC Wi-Fi” section below). Every device is different, and you are responsible for knowing how to configure your own device and for any changes you make to your computer's settings. MCC cannot be responsible for any changes you make to your computer's settings, or for any consequences of changes you make to your computer's settings. MCC staff cannot assist you in making changes.

How do students connect to the MCC Wi-Fi?
  1. In your device’s network list, select MCC-STUDENTS&EMPLOYEES.
  2. Log in with your MCC email address and password.
  3. If prompted to accept a security certificate, tap Accept, Trust, or OK.

Note: Once connected, your device will automatically reconnect when on campus until your password expires.

⚠️ Important: When you reset your MCC password, remember to update it across all your saved devices (or forget the network and reconnect) to avoid getting locked out of your account.

Having trouble connecting to MCC Wi-Fi?

Try these troubleshooting steps in order:

  1. Check the network name: Ensure you are selecting MCC-STUDENTS&EMPLOYEES (not MCC-GUEST).

  2. Toggle Wi-Fi: Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on in your device settings.

  3. Forget and reconnect: Go to your Wi-Fi settings, select Forget Network on MCC-STUDENTS&EMPLOYEES, and log in again.

  4. Restart your device: Turn your phone or computer off and back on.

How do guests connect to MCC Wi-Fi?

This network is for community members, guests, and visitors without active MCC credentials. Access remains valid for 90 days.

  1. In your device’s network list, select MCC-GUEST.
  2. In the browser window that pops up, enter your phone number, check the SMS consent box, and select Continue.
  3. Enter the verification code sent to your phone, check the box to accept the Acceptable Use Policy, and select Sign In.

📱 iPhone Tip: If you aren't seeing your verification code right away, enable banner notifications so you can view it without leaving the setup screen: Settings ➔ Notifications ➔ Messages ➔ Turn on Show Banners.

Having trouble connecting to MCC Guest Wi-Fi?

Try these troubleshooting steps in order:

  1. Check the network name: Ensure you are selecting MCC-GUEST (not MCC-STUDENTS&EMPLOYEES).
