Commercial Refrigeration Certificate

The Commercial Refrigeration Certificate prepares entry-level heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians to work on various residential and commercial refrigeration equipment. You will develop a basic understanding of residential refrigeration equipment, reach-in coolers and freezers, case coolers and freezers, walk-in coolers and freezers, direct digital controls, and ice makers. Training includes wiring diagram and schematic reading, electrical troubleshooting, the servicing and cleaning of commercial refrigeration systems, humidity control, HVAC manifold gauge set, multimeter, brazing and soldering torch, refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pump, and diagnostic test equipment use.
