Light-Lyric Tenor, Christopher Jackson, has a voice that has been described as beautifully warm with a high extension. Operatic roles include (but are not limited to): Alfred Die Fledermaus (Strauss II), Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi (Puccini), Belmonte Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Ferrando Cosí fan tutte (Mozart). Recently, he performed in the Musical Theatre world in concert versions of South Pacific with the New Philharmonic Orchestra and West Side Story with the Northwest Indiana Orchestra. In past and recent seasons, he has also worked with the Toledo Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Opera for the Young (Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast outreach tours), Sinfonietta Bel Canto, and Chicago Sinfonietta. Solo concert repertoire includes Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s The Messiah, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Bach’s Mass in B minor, and Saint-Saën Oratorio de Noêl. He maintains multiple voice studios in the Chicago western suburbs. He is also the director of choir and voice at MCC and is the Director of Music at Fox Valley Presbyterian Church in Geneva, Illinois.
