Degrees in music can lead to employment in a variety of areas including performance, composing and film scoring, band or choral direction, artist management, radio programming, or recording.
MCC’s Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) – Music Option allows students to complete a significant number of fundamental music courses to be applied to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Core courses in music theory, musicianship, and music history will prepare you to continue your studies in music education, performance, composition, music business, music therapy, and more. You’ll also enjoy opportunities to take private lessons from experienced musicians and participate in a variety of ensembles including the MCC Chorus or Chamber Choir, MCC Concert Band, or MCC Jazz Band.

Transfer Pathways are for students who plan to continue their education at a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor’s degree.
