Access and Disability Services Tutoring and Coaching

We offer some free academic support services to students who are registered with Access and Disability Services (ADS). We encourage you to take advantage of these services to support your success. You should request services as soon as possible each semester, as each service has limited capacity and may have a waiting list.

Note: Services are not accommodations and are not guaranteed.

Tutoring

ADS offers drop-in tutoring in math and writing. Hours change each semester.

See Drop-In Tutoring Hours

ADS tutoring is separate from the Tutoring and Academic Support Center, which offers drop-in tutoring to all students on an as-needed basis.

Academic Support Coaching

Through scheduled weekly meetings, Academic Support Coaches provide students with one-on-one guidance. Coaches can help you develop skills to adjust successfully to the demands of college and keep academic and everyday life responsibilities on track.

Individual sessions include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting healthy time management
  • Developing study and test-taking skills
  • Navigating courses in Canvas
  • Understanding classroom expectations
  • Connecting with instructors
  • Locating campus and MCC resources

Once you're registered with ADS, you may request Academic Support Coaching by completing the Coaching Request Form. You must complete a new Coaching Request Form each semester.
