Sterile Processing Technician Training

Start your healthcare career with MCC’s Sterile Processing Technician Training program. In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to clean, sterilize, put together, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment used in hospitals and surgical centers.

This program follows the standards set by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) and gets you ready for the Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) exam.

Certification and Clinical Requirements

CRCST Exam Preparation: The program follows HSPA standards to help you get ready for the national certification exam.

Provisional Licensing and Clinical Hours: After you pass the exam, you’ll get a provisional license. You’ll need to complete a 400-hour clinical internship to finish your certification.

Flexible Schedules: You and your preceptor will set your clinical schedule together, so how long it takes to finish will depend on your arrangement.
