Humza Bangash is studying accounting at McHenry County College with a clear goal: to build a career in the field and continue his education beyond MCC.
Motivated by a desire to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps as a certified public accountant, Humza chose to pursue accounting to ensure he could turn his interests into a long-term career. That interest first sparked in an accounting class during his junior year of high school and has continued to grow through his studies at MCC.
While at MCC, Humza is working toward earning his associate’s degree and plans on gaining hands-on experience through an accounting internship. He sees his time at MCC as an important step toward pursuing a bachelor’s degree and expanding his opportunities in the field.
Humza is proud of the foundation he built early on by staying active in clubs throughout high school, earning multiple awards along the way. That involvement helped shape the focus and motivation he brings to his studies today.
Through his coursework, Humza has also strengthened his practical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, which he knows will be essential in his future career.
