2026 Education to Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Mackenzie Leech wants to make a difference in the community as a licensed social worker, with a focus on supporting individuals with disabilities. She is completing her associate’s degree at MCC and plans to transfer to Aurora University through the University Center to continue her studies. Mackenzie also teaches classes at a local park district, helping children build essential kitchen skills and a healthy relationship with food. She hopes to one day combine her interests to offer cooking classes for those facing food insecurity.
