2023 Education to Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Makayla Travers has been creating art for as long as she can remember. She plans on following her passion by studying to become a graphic designer. After completing her associate degree at MCC, she would like to attend a college in Chicago. Makayla’s dream is to design for magazines while completing other freelance graphic design work on the side. She currently sells and creates custom digital drawings and handmade jewelry. Makayla is excited about working in a career doing what she loves every day.
