Radiologic Technology, AAS

The Radiologic Technology, AAS program is designed to help you become a skilled Radiologic Technologist, ready to work in different healthcare environments like hospitals, outpatient clinics, and doctor's offices.

Throughout the program, you'll engage in classroom learning, lab work, and practical training, allowing you to build the skills needed to create clear diagnostic images of the human body.

The MCC Radiologic Technology, AAS program is authorized by the Illinois Community College Board and the Higher Learning Commission. MCC is currently in the process of acquiring accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the accrediting body for Radiologic Technology programs. JRCERT is the only organization recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) for the accreditation of traditional and distance educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. JRCERT is the “gold standard” of accreditation for educational programs in the radiologic sciences.

Semesters to complete assumes students are taking a full-time credit load of 12 credits per semester (the minimum required for federal financial aid).

Proportion of students completing in normal time is the percentage of completers who earned the credential within the specified time of their first enrollment at the College.
