The 25th annual People in Need (PIN) Forum will take place on Saturday, January 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McHenry County College (MCC). The Forum will bring together more than 125 exhibitors showcasing vital community resources designed to support individuals and families throughout McHenry County.
The PIN Forum is open to anyone seeking assistance, information, or opportunities to volunteer. Attendees will have the chance to connect with resource providers, participate in meaningful conversations, and learn about programs that make a difference in the community. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done here.
A series of breakout sessions will be offered at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12 p.m. Session topics include teen dating, senior issues, caregiver resources, LGBTQIA+ support, substance use and addiction, human trafficking, and more. One Spanish-language breakout session will be offered at noon. Each session will feature a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer period. Exhibitor booths will remain open until 1 p.m.
All attendees will receive a printed copy of the community resource directory. The event is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending or volunteering can find more information on the PIN webpage.
