MCC to Feature Art and Design Faculty, Alumni in Upcoming Exhibits

McHenry County College (MCC) will be showcasing the work of their Art and Design faculty Monday, November 13 – Friday, December 22 in Galleries One and Two, located inside and outside the library respectively.

The exhibit is a biennial event featuring work created by the talented and experienced faculty artists at MCC. Seeing the artwork of faculty members not only highlights their artistic abilities, but also their dedication to their craft and their passion for teaching. It allows students to learn from and be inspired by their instructors in a different context, which can enhance their educational experience.

The exhibit offers a diverse range of art forms, including painting, drawing, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and sculpture. Exhibiting faculty members include Sonya Baysinger, Jeremy Foy, Diana Gabriel, Matt Irie, Timothy King, Violet Luczak, CJ Niehaus, Olivia Ridge, Justin Schmitz, Lee Stanton, and Tom Vician.

There will be opening reception on Wednesday, November 15 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Gallery One (A212x). The event is free and open to the public.
