Open up a world of possibilities with a degree in geography!
Geography majors study how the space on the earth’s surface is placed and used. Students who concentrate on physical geography focus on the land itself, studying topics such as climate, soil, and water. Cultural—or human—geography explores the relationship between people and the land.
In MCC’s Geography program, you’ll explore:
- Trends in global economics
- The extraction and distribution of the world’s natural resources
- Rural and urban land-use patterns
- Economic issues between developed and developing nations
- Energy resources
- International business and commerce
Hands-on labs include experiences in the analysis and interpretation of maps, weather processes, climate classification, soil surveys, GPS use, landform processes, and the hydrosphere.
