Meteorology

Dive deep into the processes that produce weather. In meteorology, you’ll learn the fundamental elements of temperature, pressure, moisture, and wind as you analyze severe storms such as tornadoes and hurricanes. Lab work focuses on basic weather forecasting and the weather conditions that affect our daily lives.

You’ll get hands-on experience in the MCC Weather Center, a resource that presents meteorological data for the school and the greater community.

With foundational courses in reading, writing, science, and math, you’ll be ready to pursue baccalaureate studies in meteorology and pursue a variety of careers in weather stations, offices, laboratories, universities, or government.
