Mental Health Services

If you are experiencing a crisis on campus, call (815) 479-7700 or (815) 455-8733 to speak with someone on our administrative team. If you are off campus, please call 988. For emergencies, dial 911.

Veteran Student Support

Questions about using your veteran education benefits? Chloe is an expert on eligibility and applications and can connect you with advisors for academics, financial aid, and other student support resources.

Public Transportation Options

Students with an urgent, short-term transportation need may be eligible for limited free transportation assistance through MCRide. MCRide is a shared, curb-to-curb, wheelchair-accessible service and must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance by calling (800) 451-4599. Service is available Monday–Friday, 5 a.m.–11 p.m. District boundaries apply, and students should be prepared to show their MCC student ID.

Students may also use Pace public bus routes serving the College for routine transportation to and from campus.

Student Success Fund for Emergency Financial Assistance

The Student Success Fund helps MCC students by providing up to $500 in financial support when emergencies put their continued education at risk.

Campus Meal Vouchers

MCC provides café vouchers for a meal on campus. Request a voucher at one of these campus locations:

Food Pantries on Campus

MCC mini food pantries offer quick snacks and basic hygiene items on campus. You can find them in the following locations:

  • Student Resource Center
  • Co-Labs
  • Outside E211 (includes items you can take home to cook)

Community Food Resources

MCC connects students with community resources. MCC’s partnership with the Crystal Lake Food Pantry allows any MCC student with a student ID card to access groceries and personal care items at their downtown location.

We can help you access professional clothing through partnerships with local for-profit and non-profit clothing resale establishments. All you need to do is fill out a voucher, then shop for exactly what you need from our partner stores.
