MCC provides free rides to and from campus for classes or MCC events through a partnership with MCRide and Pace. Rides are intended for urgent transportation needs or extenuating circumstances. MCRide is a dial-a-ride service providing curb-to-curb, wheelchair-accessible shared ride transportation. Call (800) 451-4599 48 hours in advance to schedule a ride between 5 a.m.–11 p.m., Monday–Friday. Be prepared to show your MCC student ID to the driver. District boundaries apply.
- Student Success Fund for Emergency Financial Assistance
The Student Success Fund helps MCC students by providing financial support of up to $500 when emergencies put their continued education at risk. Request emergency funding
- Food Access
MCC provides café vouchers for a meal on campus. Request a voucher at one of these campus locations: Co-Labs: A218, B166, and E108, the Student Resource Center, A247, Academic Advising, A257, Student Wellness, A252, Career Services, A254, or Campus Safety, B176.
MCC mini food pantries are available for quick snacks on campus. They also provide basic hygiene items. Pantries are in the Student Resource Center and Co-Labs. A pantry filled with items you can take home to cook is located outside E211.
MCC also connects students with community resources like the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. MCC’s partnership with the Crystal Lake Food Pantry allows any MCC student with a student ID card to access groceries and personal care items at their downtown location.
