Mia Wiginton

2025 Education to Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Mia Wiginton wants to make a difference in the lives of students by becoming an art teacher. Inspired by her mother—a kindergarten teacher—and her high school art teacher, she wants to encourage others and demonstrate the value of pursuing a creative outlet. After MCC, she plans to transfer to Illinois State University to earn her bachelor’s degree. Mia also works as a swim instructor.
