Mikayla Zinkel

2022 Education to Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Mikayla Zinkel was inspired to join the criminal justice field by her grandmother’s love for her job in policing. She wants to help people in need and become a pillar in the community that others can lean on. After taking several Criminal Justice classes, Mikayla is excited about the many opportunities she could pursue in the field—law school, law enforcement, forensics, crime analysis, and more. She wants to minor in language studies and is fluent in Spanish. Mikayla also volunteers at a local senior center. She is a first-generation college student and maintains a 4.0 GPA.
