Baylee Snell

2022 Education to Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Baylee Snell is studying to become an adaptive physical education teacher. After completing her associate degree at MCC, she plans to transfer to the University of Illinois–Chicago (UIC) to earn a bachelor’s degree in education. Her interest in working with the disabled first started when she volunteered at the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA). She is also passionate about physical education and turning it into a positive experience for all students regardless of their athletic abilities. Baylee is on the MCC softball team and earned 3rd team Academic All-American status during her first semester. She has volunteered at the food pantry in Crystal Lake, Feed My Starving Children, and Girls on the Run. She hopes to play softball at UIC and would love to become a high school softball coach in the future.
