Kaitlyn Mauck, 2022 Education to Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Kaitlyn Mauck has always wanted to be a teacher. After earning her Associate of Science degree from MCC, she plans on transferring to a four-year school to obtain a Bachelor of Science. Kaitlyn’s goal is to become a high school science teacher, serving as a positive role model for students and instilling a love for learning in them. After establishing herself as a teacher, she also wants to continue her education and earn her master’s degree. Kaitlyn was in Girl Scouts from second grade through her senior year in high school, where she frequently cleaned up local parks, donated to homeless shelters, ran community events, and worked with younger Girl Scouts. She also volunteered at the Woodstock Children Summer Theater and was on the Woodstock North High School tennis team throughout high school and during her first year at MCC.
