Emergency Notification System Registration

Sign up for MCC's Emergency Mass Notification System today

MCC Campus Alert is McHenry County College's emergency mass notification system, used to quickly communicate with all currently enrolled students and MCC employees. At no cost to you*, MCC will notify you of critical events around the College and campus-wide, including:

  • Campus evacuation
  • Emergency drills and notifications
  • Safety alerts
  • Weather-related closings

This service is available to currently enrolled MCC students and all MCC employees.

  • How to Register for MCC Campus Alert, hosted by Rave Mobile Safety
    • Visit Rave and select the "Register" button
    • Register using your personal email address.
    • You will be prompted to complete the registration process. Once logged in, you can manage your account and update contact information (for example, you can opt out of receiving text and voice alerts).
    • If you sign up to receive text alerts, you can stop these at any time by sending a text message containing the words STOP or QUIT to 67283 (MRAVE) or 226787 (CAMPUS).
    • Remember to remove yourself from the system when you are no longer an MCC student or employee, as all accounts are managed by you, the user.
  • Unsubscribe from MCC Campus Alert
    • Visit Rave to unsubscribe
    • Log on using the email address that you created the account with.
    • Select the person icon > My Account > Edit.
    • Select the Delete Account button from the right side of the page. Submit.

  • Weather-Related Emergency Closing Process at McHenry County College

    MCC does not routinely cancel classes or close when inclement weather conditions occur. However, if it is determined that weather conditions are severe and prohibit students from traveling to MCC safely, the College may close, delay class start times, or close early.

    • Daytime Classes - Decisions to cancel or delay classes will be made by 5 a.m.
    • Evening Classes - Decisions will be made by 3 p.m.
