The Friends of McHenry County College (MCC) Foundation recently welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors—Mike Smith, co-founder and Managing Partner of Insight Financial Partners, LLC; Kristina Whitmore, Vice President of Operations for Northwestern Medicine in McHenry and Woodstock; and Melissa Cooney, an attorney (recently retired) from the law firm of Zukowski, Rogers, Flood, and McArdle.
Each director is elected to the board for an initial three-year term and can be elected to serve one additional three-year term. After two consecutive terms, directors must leave the board for one year. They are then eligible to return to the board for another two consecutive terms.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these dedicated and accomplished individuals to our board,” said Brian DiBona, executive director of the Foundation. “Mike, Kristina, and Melissa bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting our mission. Their leadership will play a key role in advancing the Foundation’s work to ensure students have the resources they need to succeed and thrive at MCC.”
