Petition filing for McHenry County College Trustee candidates for the April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 and ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19. Petitions will be accepted from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in Room A233 at the College from Dec. 12 through Dec. 16 and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19. The office for filing will be closed on Dec. 17 and 18.
All candidates who are in line to file at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 will be entered in a simultaneous petition filing lottery to determine ballot placement for the first place on the ballot. A date for this lottery, if needed, will be chosen and publicly announced in advance. In addition, all candidates filing between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19 will be entered in a simultaneous petition filing lottery to determine ballot placement for the last place on the ballot. A date for this lottery, if needed, will also be chosen and publicly announced in advance.
