A new 40-foot Fire Science training tower will replace the original tower built in 1992. Designed by MCC’s Fire Science faculty, it will give students more opportunities to practice realistic scenarios, including navigating smoke-filled spaces and using self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). The new tower will be ready for use in Spring 2027.
A new commercial test kitchen will open at the Carey Center for Agrarian Learning in 2027, giving farmers and food entrepreneurs space to develop and produce food products. It will support local food businesses and help them turn ideas into marketable products.
Several Athletics spaces are getting a refresh, including a new vinyl wall graphic in the gym and upcoming press box updates. These improvements will add school spirit and create more welcoming spaces for students and fans.
MCC celebrated the opening of its new Engagement Hall on Thursday, August 13, 2026, marking the completion of a space designed to create more opportunities for students, employees, and College partners to come together on campus.
Located adjacent to the cafeteria and commons area, the 250-person capacity Engagement Hall provides a flexible, welcoming space for a wide range of events and experiences, including student activities, job fairs, donor celebrations, alumni events, special programs, performances, exhibits, banquets, and more.
