Innovative Bridge and Transitions Grant

Are you an MCC student looking to transfer to the University Center (UC) at MCC?

Do you need financial assistance to help cover the costs of tuition and other expenses?

You could be eligible for the Innovative Bridge and Transitions (IBT) Grant.

This grant helps you transition from MCC to the UC at MCC, empowering you to earn your bachelor’s degree and reach your career goals.

How the IBT Grant Works:

MCC

  • Enroll in classes at MCC to complete your associate’s degree and/or pre-requisite courses to prepare to transfer.
  • Qualify for up to $1,000 toward tuition for MCC credit courses.
  • Receive up to $500 (total) for miscellaneous fees or other financial barriers related to academic completion.
  • Get one-on-one support from the IBT Program Navigator and UC at MCC Advising, including academic planning; connection to resources, and ability to discuss potential barriers.

UC at MCC

  • Enroll in classes at the UC at MCC with one of our partner universities to obtain your bachelor’s degree.
  • Qualify for up to $2,000 toward tuition at the chosen university.
  • Receive one-on-one support from the IBT Program Navigator.
  • Get access to UC at MCC and partner university resources such as advising, financial aid, career services and more.

IBT applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be actively enrolled at MCC in an eligible program (credit program) or have plans to enroll for Spring, Summer, or Fall 2025.
  • Must intend to transfer to the University Center at MCC or another university by Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 to obtain a bachelor’s degree.
  • No current or past unresolved Student Code of Conduct issues.
  • Must meet and maintain the minimum GPA requirements at MCC and their transfer institution.
