Do I need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)?
No, you are not required to complete the FAFSA to qualify for the IBT funding. However, we highly recommend that you complete the FAFSA.

What if I need to drop a class that IBT funding paid for?
If you drop a class funded by this award, you must do so before the college withdrawal date; otherwise, you may be liable for any tuition covered by the funds

Does applying for the IBT Grant funding guarantee that I will be approved?
Applying doesn't guarantee you will receive an award. Because the IBT Grant has limited funding, you must meet specific eligibility criteria to qualify.

Is there an application deadline?
No, the application will remain open until funding is exhausted or the IBT Grant has ended in March 2027.

Who is eligible to apply for the IBT Grant funding?
Current MCC Adult Education students, high school seniors with Dual Credit, and/or MCC students interested in transferring to the University Center (UC) at MCC.
