• Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)
  • Dr. Hankins and sustainability professionals from Johnson County Community College and Hillsborough Community College have created the Community and Technical College Sustainability Network. Anyone is able to participate with a free AASHE membership. The AASHE provides a place for people advancing sustainability in community and technical colleges to share and learn from each other.
  • The AASHE held its annual conference and expo on October 27-29, 2024, in Anaheim, CA. Over 1200 sustainability professionals from universities, and two- and four-year colleges gathered for three days of informational sessions and networking.
  • Dr. Hankins currently serves on AASHE's advisory board.
