Archaeological Field School

In the two-week Archaeological Field School ANT-255, you’ll work on the historic Macktown archaeological site in Rockton, Illinois. You’ll get hands-on training in archaeological survey, excavation, mapping, laboratory processing, and Cultural Resource Management (CRM) form processing throughout the course.

Upon completion, you will earn three academic credits transferable to four-year universities. The program provides training critical to those interested in pursuing a career in archaeology.

• Registered students have no additional costs beyond personal food and transportation needs.
• The non-registered student participation fee is $415.
• On-site camping in the field house for the two weeks is available for no additional cost.
