Important Reminders About COVID-19 and Other Respiratory Viruses

Help Maintain a Healthy and Safe On-Campus Community
If You (May) Have COVID-19/Respiratory Virus
Stay home and away from others (including those living with you who are not sick) - if you have respiratory virus symptoms such as fever; chills; fatigue and muscle aches; cough; wheezing; runny nose; headache; loss of taste or smell; vomiting or diarrhea.
Go Back to School/Work and Normal Activities
When, for at least 24 hours, both of these are true:
- Your symptoms are getting better overall and
- You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)
Taking Added Precaution Over the Next Five Days After Returning to Normal Activities
- Get tested -Antigen self-tests or PCR tests from your healthcare provider
- Cover your coughs and sneezes
- Wash and/or sanitize your hands often
- Clean frequently-touched surfaces, including phones and tablets
- Wear a protective mask when around others
- Take additional steps for cleaner air (purifying indoor air; bring in fresh outside air)
- Keep a safe distance between you and others
Note: If you develop another fever or begin to feel worse again, stay home and away from others again until, for at least 24 hours, your symptoms are improving and you are not using fever-reducing medication) Then, take added precaution for another five days.
