Art Faculty - Tom White

Tom is based in Chicago, IL. Originally from Omaha, NE, he earned his BFA from The University of Nebraska at Omaha (2020) and his MFA in Printmedia at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago (2025). Tom teaches Art Appreciation, Drawing I and II, and Art in The Humanities. Tom also works as a substitute teacher for Chicago Public Schools. He has participated in the first cohort of The John Veal Fellowship, and as a teaching artist for The Chicago Park District and Projects of L.O.V.E. He publishes his drawings in his zines, including "Okay, Google" (2020), "Or Something" (2025) and "So What" (2026).
Tom’s most recent body of work examines repetitive motifs, the honoring of forgotten monuments, and reflection. His work can be viewed on his website or via his Instagram page.
