Summer Registration Now Open at MCC

Registration is now open for Summer 2024 classes at McHenry County College (MCC). The College offers a wide variety of transferrable courses that can help students take the next step in their education.

Summer courses are ideal for those starting college in the fall or home for the summer from a four-year school. Students can save time and money by completing a few general education courses, getting a head start on their studies, or simply learning a new skill in art, computers, marketing, science, math, and more.

Many classes are available in-person, online, or as a blend of both, and are offered at various times of the day to fit around other summer plans.

Some of the unique options being offered this summer include a Latin American history course that hasn’t been offered in several years. The course is a great fit for those interested in learning more about our neighbors to the south by examining their art, politics, economics, and culture from pre-colonial history up to modern times. The course is three credits and is open to all students. It runs May 13 – June 8 in a flexible online format.

Another unique course is the College’s Archaeology Field School, which offers students experience working on an experimental archaeological site created on MCC’s campus. The program provides critical training for those interested in a career in archaeology. The course runs June 3–14, Monday–Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and is open to all students.

Students can also get started in a wide variety of career training programs in Automotive, Horticulture, Administrative Office Technologies, and more.

In addition to already offering college education at a fraction of the cost of a four-year school, MCC offers a variety of scholarships, grants, and payment plans to help students pay for school. Payment options can be found here
