Horn choir CorCorps returns to McHenry County College (MCC) Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m. The concert will take place in the College’s Luecht Auditorium, 8900 US Hwy 14 in Crystal Lake.
The program will feature selections such as “Can You Read My Mind?” from Superman by John Williams, “Mars” by Gustav Holst, “El Capitan,” by John Philip Sousa, and “Academic Festival Overture” by Johannes Brahms.
CorCorps was founded in McHenry County living rooms in 2005 and became the Horn Choir in Residence at MCC in 2006. The group’s current and alumni roster lists more than 70 different local players, ranging from high school age and up.

The MCC Concert Series features a variety of classical, jazz, and folk musicians from the greater Chicago area, along with semiannual concerts featuring the MCC chorus, concert band, and jazz ensemble. Upcoming performances include the MCC Concert Band April 21 at 3 p.m. at Crystal Lake Central High School; and the MCC Concert Choir, String Orchestra, and Guitar Ensemble on April 25 at 7 p.m.
