Tips for a Smooth Registration

Are you getting ready to register for classes? Here are some quick tips to help you register smoothly and easily at MCC. Check your prerequisites, meet with your advisor, and watch your waitlists.

• See an Advisor in A257 as soon as possible to work out a schedule. Check advising hours and additional information.

• Make sure you have completed all prerequisites for any classes you wish to register for. See the catalog for prerequisite information.

• Read the schedule times carefully; you cannot register for any classes that create a time conflict/overlap unless you receive a permit from your instructor.

• Prepare alternative course selections in case your first-choice course(s) are full.

• Register online.

• If you are on Financial Aid, make sure to notify the Financial Aid Office after you have registered.

• We encourage you to join the class waitlist. If a spot opens up, we'll email you. Once you receive an invitation to register, you have 24 hours to sign up. Check your MCC student email daily for waitlist updates, even on weekends and during breaks.
