Planetarium Grand Re-Opening: The Wonders of Space

Showtimes (30 minutes per show): 9, 10, 11 a.m., 6, 7, and 8 p.m.
Join Astronomy professor Paul Hamill as he unveils the breathtaking capabilities of MCC’s brand-new Digistar Planetarium Projection System, complete with heart-thumping surround sound.
What awaits you:
- Peer Through the James Webb Telescope: See awe-inspiring, cutting-edge images and videos of actual galaxies billions of light-years away, black holes in motion, and swirling nebulae within moments of when they’re captured.
- Ride the Milky Way: Glide through our galaxy, exploring its geometry, exoplanets, and the seasonality of our constellations.
- Witness Solar Flares Up Close: Travel to the sun's surface and observe its fiery eruptions in stunning real-time detail.
- Land on the Planets: Rove over their topographically mapped surfaces and scout their craters and valleys.

Special Reminders
- Shows are open to the public and cost $15 per person ($10 for students/seniors). The senior rate applies to individuals.
- Space is limited to 45 people per show. Reservations are required. There will be no refunds for the tickets. Doors to the planetarium open 15 minutes before show time.
- The MCC Planetarium is located on the upper level of the Liebman Science Center (Building F). When visiting, park in Lots E or F.
- No food or drinks in the MCC Planetarium, and no cell phone use during the shows.
- Planetarium shows may not be suitable for people who are prone to motion sickness or seizure issues. Children who are afraid of the dark should be accompanied by an adult or sit with an adult.
