Join the Liebman Institute for Science Innovation (LISI) at McHenry County College (MCC) for "Demystifying Drones" on Saturday, July 11, from 1–4:30 p.m. at the MCC campus, 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14, Crystal Lake.
This hands-on event invites participants to experience the thrill of drone flight firsthand while learning how drone technology is being used throughout McHenry County and beyond. Guests will have the opportunity to test their pilot skills through drone challenges guided by local experts before exploring a variety of live outdoor demonstrations.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the safety, privacy, and practical considerations surrounding drone technology.
The event is presented in partnership with the Chain O' Lakes Eagles RC Flying Club and assisted by experienced club members. Chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the Chain O' Lakes Eagles RC Flying Club is recognized as a Gold Leader Club, an honor awarded to clubs that meet the highest standards of community service, safety, and activity.
The program will take place in the Scot Room, Gym, and Soccer Field on MCC's campus. A light lunch and snacks will be provided.
Tickets are $28 for general admission, $5 for seniors (65+). Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Space is limited, and registration is required.
