Michael Bazan and Big City Dixieland Band to Perform February 15

Woodwind artist Michael Bazan will perform with Chicago favorite Big City Dixieland for a lively afternoon concert on Sunday, February 15 at 3 p.m. in the Luecht Auditorium at McHenry County College (MCC). The program will feature popular Dixieland music and New Orleans-style jazz favorites.

Big City Dixieland continues the tradition of energetic, toe-tapping Dixieland music that appeals to audiences of all ages. Their performances deliver joyful, family-friendly entertainment that invites listeners to relax and have fun.

Michael Bazan is a respected music educator and professional musician. He and the musicians of the Big City Dixieland performed with renowned artists and ensembles including Frankie Valli, The Four Tops, The Ides of March, and the Rockford Symphony. The band regularly appears at community celebrations, corporate events, Mardi Gras parties, and more.

The performance will be held at MCC’s Luecht Auditorium, 8900 US Highway 14, Crystal Lake, IL. It is free and open to the public.

The MCC Concert Series features a variety of classical, jazz, and folk musicians from the McHenry County area along with semiannual concerts featuring the MCC concert choir, concert band, and jazz ensemble. Upcoming performances include the MCC faculty recital on February 22 at 3 p.m.; the Pat Gaughan Trio and the McNulty Irish Dancers on March 11 at 7 p.m.; and Winds Off the Lake woodwind quintet on April 12 at 3 p.m.
