Get started on your educational or career goals by enrolling in the Spring semester at McHenry County College (MCC), which begins Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
The College offers a wide variety of career and technical programs, associate degrees, and dozens of classes that easily transfer.
“Sometimes all it takes is one decision to move closer to your goals,” said Amy Carzoli, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Services at MCC. “Whether you have a clear plan for your future, want to explore a few areas of interest, or are simply curious about trying a college class, MCC makes it easy to get started. We tailor an experience to each of our students, offering flexible schedules, individualized support, small class sizes, and a variety of resources to support student success both inside and outside the classroom.”
Students are encouraged to register early to ensure they get the classes they need for the upcoming semester.
“Our new student enrollment coaches are available to guide you through every step—from getting started and exploring programs to applying for financial aid and connecting with campus resources,” added Carzoli. “Wherever you’re starting from, MCC can help you take that first step toward your future.”
MCC offers many in-demand healthcare programs, including nursing, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapy assistant, and more. The College also recently expanded its offerings to include programs in radiology and diagnostic medical sonography, giving students even more pathways to enter rewarding healthcare careers. In addition, MCC recently updated its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training lab, providing students with modern equipment and simulation experiences that prepare them for real-world patient care.
For those drawn to working with plants or in outdoor spaces, MCC’s Horticulture program offers hands-on training in plant and soil science, plant materials and production, fruit and vegetable production, sustainable practices, and more. Students receive experience in MCC’s greenhouse facility and student farm, coming away with a solid knowledge of landscape maintenance and equipment, problem-solving skills, basic business principles, and more.
The College also recently added and expanded training programs for a variety of careers in the skilled trades through its new Foglia Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation (CATI). Programs available include Architectural and Engineering Design Technology; Automation, Robotics, and Mechatronics; Construction Management; Engineering Technology; Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC); Industrial Maintenance; Industrial Management and Technology; Precision Machining; and Welding and Fabrication.
MCC also offers career-ready programs in administrative office technologies, early childhood education, kinesiology and health studies, criminal justice, culinary management, and more.
