Setting up your LinkedIn Learning Account

You must have a student email address to set up a LinkedIn Learning account

  • How to create an MCC .edu Student Email Address

    Student email accounts are created using Gmail. If you already have a Gmail account, you'll be creating an additional account.

    1. Log into myMCC 
    2. Open a new browser tab and go to
    3. In the Email field, enter your myMCC username and select Next.
    4. Enter your MCC password and select Next
    5. Proceed with Gmail’s verification instructions

    Note: If you've recently reset your myMCC password, it may take a few minutes for your new password to sync with Gmail.

After you’ve set up your student email account, you can set up a LinkedIn Learning account

  • How to sign up for LinkedIn Learning
    1. In your web browser, go to
    2. Enter your student email address (your where it asks for your work email and select Verify email
    3. LinkedIn will send a message to your student email address with a Get Started Now button. Select this button.
    4. You will be asked to sign in using your LinkedIn account. You are not required to have a LinkedIn account. Select Continue without LinkedIn.
    5. A second message will pop up asking you to log in using your LinkedIn account. Select Do not connect my account.
    6. Enter your student email address and select the Send verification code button.
    7. Check your MCC email for a verification code. Enter the verification code in LinkedIn Learning and select the Verify Code button
    8. Create a password that is from 8 – 16 characters containing 3 out of 4 of the following: lowercase characters, uppercase characters, digits (0-9) and symbols. Enter the password twice and select the Create button
    9. You will see a welcome screen. You're enrolled in LinkedIn Learning.
