Abigail Tatosian

2023 Education to Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Abigail Tatosian hopes to inspire her future students while working as an elementary school teacher. After completing her associate degree at MCC, Abigail plans to transfer to Northern Illinois University to obtain her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She eventually would like to go back to school to study child psychology. After becoming a member of Phi Theta Kappa during her first year at MCC, Abigail was inspired to get more involved on campus. She has plans to become a student orientation leader and hopes to create a new chapter of Psi Beta—a community college national honor society in psychology—at MCC. She is also interested in traveling the world and experiencing different cultures and would love the opportunity to one day teach in a different country.
