MCC Shah Center Offers Complimentary Webinar on OSHA COVID-19 Occupational Safety and Health Guidelines
The McHenry County College (MCC) Shah Center is offering a complimentary webinar exploring OSHA's occupational safety and health guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday, April 21 at 1 p.m.
This two-hour webinar presented by certified safety professional Michael Serpe will cover essential information for employers with a focus on managers, supervisors, business owners, and anyone else responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining an OSHA Employee COVID-19 Acute Infectious Disease Response Plan.
The course will detail COVID-19 employer guidance, recommendations, and requirements from OSHA, NIOSH (CDC), EEOC, ADA, and DOL. This information includes OSHA's guidance on preparing workplaces for COVID-19 and enforcement guidance for recording any cases; EEOC’s review of what you should know about COVID-19 as it applies to the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act, and other EEO laws; NIOSH's (CDC) recommendations and interim guidance for planning and responding to COVID-19, implementing safety practices for critical infrastructure workers, and directions for handling potential exposure to a person with suspected or confirmed COVID-19; and other frequently asked questions.
