OSHA Courses Available in March
The Shah Center of McHenry County College is now offering OSHA courses facilitated by OSHA industry expert, Mike Serpe, principle at Safety First NA. MCC is accepting registrations for two courses: OSHA 10-Hour for Construction from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 5 and 7, and OSHA 10-Hour Voluntary Compliance in General Industry from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 20 and 22.
OSHA 10-Hour for Construction is a program designed specifically for construction workers to learn how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a constuction site. Topics will include Introduction to OSHA, Falls, Electrocution, Struck-by; Caught-in or Between, Personal Protective Equipment, Health Hazards and more. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and an OSHA 10-hour card. Cost is $299, which includes materials. Participants can register using course code: NTE S69 001.
OSHA 10-hour Voluntary Compliance in General Industry is ideal for personnel with safety and health responsibilities, and for implementing employee safety and health awareness programs. Students will be introduced to OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as general industry safety and health principles covered in OSHA Act Part 1910. Upon successful course completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance and an OSHA 10-hour card. Cost is $299, which includes materials. Participants can register using course code: NTE S65 003.
The Workforce, Community and Business Programs courses are also available for on-site training at a company's facility and customizable for their needs.
