
Purple Pride Relief Fund - Emergency Financial Assistance
Purple Pride Relief Funding will be available through Fall 2022 to help MCC students continue their education despite the economic challenges caused by COVID-19. Students enrolled in Fall 2022 courses and who are experiencing financial hardship should apply for the Fall 2022 Purple Pride Relief Fund today.
Fall 2022 Awards Per Credit Hour
- $400 for students actively enrolled in three to eight credits
- $800 for students actively enrolled in nine or more credits
Funding is not available for the Summer 2022 semester. Students who need financial support during Summer 2022 may:
- Enroll in the Nelnet Automatic Payment Plan

- Apply for financial aid
- Learn about student assistance resources
An award will be provided to eligible students for financial assistance to cover student basic needs to assist with items such as:
- Tuition and fees (scholarship for past due or existing balance)
- Course materials and books
- Technology costs or tools to support the multiple modes of instruction
- Housing needs
- Transportation
- Healthcare
- Childcare
- Loss of student employment
Funds for Fall 2022 will be available to students who satisfy state residency requirements, are enrolled at MCC for a minimum of three credits in the Fall 2022 semester, and are in compliance with the Governor’s mandate regarding proof of COVID-19 vaccination or weekly testing. Funds can be applied to any outstanding balance a student may have with the College. Students have a chance to declare where they would like to apply these funds at the end of the application. Students receive one grant award per semester.
