Two six-year seats are open for the McHenry County College Board of Trustees in the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election. Petition filing for Trustee candidates starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 14.

The McHenry County College Board of Trustees has approved a fourth contract extension for MCC President Clinton Gabbard, Ph.D., extending an additional year through Dec. 31, 2024. Gabbard became the College's eighth president on January 11, 2016.

At their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, November 19, the McHenry County College Board of Trustees unanimously approved a flat tax levy for 2020, a move that will save taxpayers money and once again contribute favorably to the economic impact on the college district.

The Center for Agrarian Learning at MCC will present the next event in their virtual speaker series, Forefront: Ideas in Food and Farming, on Sunday, November 15 at 1 p.m. "Whole Grain Supply Chain" explores the importance of regenerative agriculture and whole grains, and describes how these practices improve soil health, human health, and local economies.
