[Wednesday, November 13, 2019]

High school and returning adult students are invited to explore potential career options and see what McHenry County College has to offer during MCC Night, an annual open house event, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, in the Commons area in Building B and the MCC Gym.

All prospective adult students, as well as high school students and their parents are encouraged to attend the event. Students can meet MCC instructors and explore more than 40 MCC programs, including registered nursing, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapy assistant, automotive technology, criminal justice, fire science, graphic design, digital media (including game design), robotics, manufacturing and engineering technology, horticulture, culinary, paralegal, and health information technology. Information on MCC's associate degrees and certificates, financial aid, and athletics will also be available.

Free workshops will include information about dual-credit college classes for high school students, services for students with disabilities, and how to transfer to a four-year college or university or pursue other educational opportunities after attending MCC. Other highlights include demonstrations by students in culinary arts and ceramics, as well as tours of the MCC planetarium, greenhouse, and automotive facilities. The MCC fire engine will also be on-site, weather permitting. Attendees can enjoy sweet treats made by MCC baking and pastry students, and take home unique giveaways. Star 105.5 will be covering the event via a remote radio broadcast.

MCC Night is free and open to the public. No registration is required. During this event only, the application fee will be waived for all high school seniors and prospective adult students who apply to MCC for the Summer and Fall 2020 Semesters.

The College is located at 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake. For more information, visit www.mchenry.edu/mccnight.
