Forklift Courses Available This Fall

McHenry County College (MCC) Workforce Community and Business Programs partners with forklift manufacturer, UniCarriers Americas Corp. in Marengo, to offer hands-on Forklift Operator Training from 8 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21.

 The Forklift Operator and Train the Trainer programs provide a quality and affordable solution for companies and business to comply with the OSHA standards. Participants will learn the skills required to operate a lift truck in a correct and professional manner. Trucks covered ate Industrial Truck Association (ITA) Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Does your facility require a forklift trainer on staff? Train the Trainer: Forklift is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 and 25 and from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 26. This comprehensive 2 ½ day “Train-the-Trainer” class will prepare your company’s trainer, safety department staff, human resource department, or supervisors to present the one-day Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) training class.

Classes take place at the UniCarriers Americas Corp. facility in Marengo. UniCarriers Americas presents participants with a certificate of completion at the end of the course. 

Cost for each forklift operator course is $195 and includes lunch. Use course code: NTE S54 003 for the Sept. 21 class. Cost for the Train the Trainer class is $1,100, including materials and lunch. Use course code: NTE S55 001 for the Train the Trainer class.
