MCC to Offer Class Featuring the Adoption Process[Wednesday, July 25, 2018]
Considering adopting a child? Learn about the fundamentals of the adoption process and explore the world of adoption at The Adoption Process from A to Z, a continuing education class from 1-2:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, offered by McHenry County College (MCC).
Sally Wildman, a Chicago and Northbrook attorney, with more than 15 years of experience in this field, will share information about the different types of adoption available—agency, private, related, foreign, and foster parent, plus the many steps required, including home study, foster parent licensing, and immigration. Wildman will help participants understand how to make their adoption secure. Participants will also hear about the resources available for choosing an adoption agency, attorney, adoption organizations, and related professionals in the field. Discussion concludes with considering common needs of adopted children.
Class will take place at MCC in Room A117. Cost is $15 for single (use course code: NPL S56 001) or $25 per couple (use course code: NPL S56 002).
