Career Workshops to Feature Resumes, Job Search & Interviewing Tips[Monday, June 4, 2018]
Learn how to create a winning resume, explore job search strategies or prepare for a successful job interview with a series of three monthly workshops offered by the Career Services Department at McHenry County College.
The following workshops are free and open to anyone in the community:
Resume Development is offered from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 in Room A101.
Resumes are often a first introduction of you to an employer. Learn how to develop a resume that will highlight your experiences and skills as you apply for employment opportunities. At the end of the workshop, you will have developed a resume to assist you in your employment search. Space is limited.
Job Search Strategies is offered from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 10 in Room A101.
Looking for a job? Learn where to look, who to ask, how to develop strategies that will assist you in your employment search. Space is limited.
How to prepare for an Interview is offered from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, in Room A103. Learn how to prepare for various types of job interviews. Learn about the structure of an interview and how to answer questions such as, “So tell me about yourself? and “Can you give me an example of a time when…?”
