Learn Salsa and Swing Dance Steps this Summer[Monday, May 7, 2018]
Have fun while learning high-energy dance moves with two new dance classes this summer offered by the McHenry County College Continuing Education Department. Salsa dance class and East Coast Swing class are available for either singles or couples beginning in June.
The instructor for both classes is English Swanson, who has been teaching and dancing in Chicagoland professionally for the past seven years. Her training includes the Judith Svalander School of Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Swanson’s ballroom training began in Chicago under the direction of Nino DiGiulio with the widely renowned dance studio, May I Have This Dance. Most recently, English has worked on the popular TV series “Empire” where she danced classical ballet in one of the episodes. She regularly teaches ballroom and ballet classes at the Woodstock Dance Academy.
