Explore MCC’s Career-Ready Resources in Series of Webinars December 7-10

Discover local resources that can help enhance any career. “Meet MCC: Career-Ready,” a series of virtual events held December 7–10, will provide an overview of McHenry County College (MCC)’s career-specific tools that prepare students for the competitive modern workforce.

The week kicks off on Monday, December 7 with “Getting Started at MCC” from 6–7 p.m. This session will provide a detailed overview of the College’s Fast Track programs for working adults, stackable certificates designed to get students into the workforce quickly, non-credit certificates, training, and seminars.

On Tuesday, December 8 from 6–7 p.m., the College will discuss resources available to support students’ success throughout their time in school. Panelists will share information about MCC’s free math refresher sessions and tutoring, technology assistance, and much more.

The following night—Wednesday, December 9 from 5–6 p.m.—representatives from MCC Admissions, Adult Education, and Student Success Center will present “Estudiantes Universitarios de Primera Generación—Información Básica de Universidad y Preguntas Comunes (First Generation College Students — Basic College Information and Common Questions), a session—presented in Spanish—that is open to anyone looking to learn the basics about college and MCC.

The week wraps up with a panel featuring staff from MCC’s Career Services and Small Business Development Center on Thursday, December 10 from 6–7 p.m. The group will discuss career options, present information about starting a business, and leave plenty of time for Q&A.

All events can be accessed at and will be hosted via Zoom. Interested attendees can pre-register once to attend all the events, but it is not required. Participants can join one or all of the sessions.
The College will be hosting an additional “Meet MCC” event in the Spring. “Meet MCC: Prepare for Your Next Step” will be held the week of March 22 and focus on the academic programs and classes available at MCC.
