Details:

Edible mushrooms have important medicinal and culinary use…and they're relatively easy to grow once you have the supplies and know the techniques.

The morning seminar, 9 a.m.–noon, will cover the most common home and commercially-grown mushrooms - including ID, practices, procedures, and equipment - and will feature a lab session where you will inoculate a log (shitake) as well as straw and coffee grounds (oyster) to take home. All supplies will be provided. Class size is limited.

In the afternoon, 12:15–3:30 p.m., we’ll drive to Burlington, WI for a 1-hour tour of a successful mushroom farm. Transportation is provided and limited to 15 people. Bring your own lunch to eat on the mini-bus.

You may register for the Grower Seminar, $35, or the Grower Seminar and Farm Tour, $50. Please note there is no option to register for the tour only.
