Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic Certificate
The Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic Certificate includes three paramedic modules and one internship semester. You will receive 17 hours of college credit and a certificate from the Illinois Department of Public Health to practice in the state of Illinois as a licensed paramedic. This training is considered advanced emergency care and can be a stand-alone profession or can be linked to a fire service career. Non-fire students can work as a technician in a hospital or clinic with this certificate.
Working as an EMS provider requires significant physical strength, dexterity, and the ability to function in very adverse environments with exposure to numerous safety risks typically found at emergency scenes. Can you meet or exceed these EMS Provider Functional Requirements and Physical Expectations?
